چکیده

Aim of study: One the safest techniques regarding remediation contaminated water is biological remediation. This study aimed to: (i) monitoring a collection organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) in three agricultural drainages (Nashart, no. 9, and El-shoka), located Kafr El-Sheikh governorate, Egypt; ii) investigate biodegradation potential different bacterial isolates pesticides.Material methods: Analysis OCPs was carried out by gas chromatography, Enrichment cultures were used for isolation strains capable most efficient isolate identified based on morphological, biochemical ad molecular characteristics.Main results: The determination samples chromatography showed varying values ranging from 0.0 mg/L (below detection limit) to 0.0385 mg/L. A total four morphologically obtained, which remarkable capability detected mineral salt medium containing 17 active ingredients two approaches including analysis OCP residues at end incubation period measuring growth terms viable count optical density. N2 highest degradation when screening process select isolates, according characterization as Enterobacter asburiae.Research highlights: using E. asburiae proved be promising approach detoxification removal aqueous systems.

Accumulation and distribution of persistent organochlorine pesticides and their contamination of surface water and sediments of the Sabarmati River, India

Pesticides are chemical substances used to control pests in an effort to increase crop production and quality, and food storage. The levels of pesticides in different environmental compartments, such as water, soil, agricultural foods, and products of animal origin, have become a relevant issue. In this study, the levels of pesticide residues in Sabarmati River of Gujarat, India, have been inve...

Enterobacter asburiae KUNi5, a Nickel Resistant Bacterium for Possible Bioremediation of Nickel Contaminated Sites.

Nickel resistant bacterial strain Enterobacter asburiae KUNi5 was isolated and showed resistance up to 15 mM and could remove Ni optimally better at 37 degrees C and pH 7. Maximum removal was found at initial concentration of 0.5 to 2 mM, however, growth and Ni removal were affected by other heavy metals. Major amount of the metal was accumulated in the membrane fractions and certain negatively...

Organochlorine pesticides in gallstones.

A method is described for the determination of organochlorine pesticide residues in human gallstones. The difficulty caused by the presence of large amounts of cholesterol in the stones is overcome by an acetylation step in the “clean-up” procedure, and the method finishes with identification and determination of the individual pesticides by gas-liquid chromatography. Results are given for 28 s...

The Organochlorine Pesticides Residue Levels in Karun River Water

BACKGROUND The organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) are among the most commonly used in water streams around the world. Most of these contaminants are highly hydrophobic and persist in sediments of rivers and lakes. Studies have suggested that OCPs may affect the normal function of the human and wildlife endocrine systems. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study is to determine the concentrations of sel...

Quorum Sensing Activity of Enterobacter asburiae Isolated from Lettuce Leaves

Bacterial communication or quorum sensing (QS) is achieved via sensing of QS signaling molecules consisting of oligopeptides in Gram-positive bacteria and N-acyl homoserine lactones (AHL) in most Gram-negative bacteria. In this study, Enterobacteriaceae isolates from Batavia lettuce were screened for AHL production. Enterobacter asburiae, identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionizatio...
